Curriculum

Springfield follows the National Senior Certificate (NSC) curriculum and follows the South African General Education & Training (GET) curriculum in Grades 8 and 9 and the Further Education & Training (FET) curriculum in Grades 10, 11 and 12. Girls in Grade 8 and 9 have the opportunity to learn additional languages i.e. French and isiXhosa as many might want to continue with these languages in higher grades.

Grades
  • Grade 8 – 12
  • 3 classes per grade (Gr 8, Gr 10, Gr 11, Gr 12) and 4 classes per grade for Gr 9 2018

Our school continuously adapts to changes in technology and the entire school campus has access to wi-fi. Computer Skills  lessons are offered in all Grades.

Our academic offer is enriched by the Departments of Visual Arts, Dramatic Arts and Music and we are very proud of achievements in these areas. Our music school enriches the curriculum with activities including Choir, Chamber Choir, Jazz Band, Marimba Band, Orchestra, International tours and a host of individual instruments. Our recently built Fra Angelico Art Centre exhibits the works of many of our talented girls.
